🏃‍♀️ Run 4 HDYO Olivia (Liv) Martinez Scholarship Fund– 5K Charity Run/Walk at Battersea Park, July 4th 2026

Huntington's Disease Centre, London

Huntington's Disease Centre, London

My Story

After the success of 2025, where we raised more than £3000 thanks to generous donations, come join us again for a 5K run or walk to raise awareness of Huntington’s Disease and support the amazing work of HDYO!

This scolarship fund will help finance young people to attend HDYO Congress in 2027.

At the Huntington’s Disease Centre in London, we understand just how vital events like these are—especially for young people navigating life with HD in their families. That’s why we’re coming together to raise funds for future scholarships, ensuring even more young people can access these life-changing experiences.

All proceeds will go toward the "Olivia (Liv) Martinez Scholarship Fund", established in 2025, a tribute to one of HDYO’s cherished ambassadors whose passion, kindness, and strength touched so many lives.

You can find out more about the Scholarship here: https://www.hdyo.org/a/905-olivia-liv-martinez

The fund will support young people attending their first HDYO Congress, empowering them to connect, grow, and feel the same sense of community that Liv so strongly believed in.

💙 Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence will make a real difference.

🎟️ Free to join – open to everyone!

All fitness levels and ages are welcome. It’s not about speed—it’s about solidarity and support.

💸 Want to donate?

If you're able to contribute, every pound raised will go directly to HDYO to support young people impacted by Huntington’s Disease.

You can also choose to donate anonymously via Enthuse.

🧾 Please note: Donations must be made online through this fundraising page, as we won’t be able to accept any donations in person on the day.

👕 If you donate anonymously and would like to receive a HDYO T-shirt (for donations over £30), please make sure to fill out the registration form and email us a proof of payment at [email protected]—this helps us ensure your T-shirt will be ready for you!

Please note we are not able to garantee a T-shirt for purchases after June 25th!

🔗 How to take part:

To help us keep track of registrations, please register your attendance above (Registration Form).

We’re partnering with the brilliant Parkrun initiative to bring this event to life!

🏃‍♀️ Please note: This is a public Parkrun event, so we won’t be the only ones running on the day—there’ll be other members of the local community taking part too. We’ll all be running together as part of the larger Parkrun, but our group will be united in support of HDYO 💜

If you want to track your time and performance after the run (however this is not mandatory!), you can register (for free) via their website:

Once registered, you can download a personalised barcode with your name and emergency contact. Please note you'd need to print a hard copy of your barcode (they don't accept barcodes shown on mobile phones!).

This is totally optional, but a fun extra!

More details on the course:

We’re also looking for volunteers to help us throughout the day. If running or walking isn't your thing, there are still plenty of ways to contribute to the event! Drop us an email if you’re interested (contact details below!).

👕 Support in style!

Branded HDYO T‑shirts are available for donations of £30 or more—a great way to support the cause and take home a souvenir from the event.

If you would like to purchase a T‑shirt, please complete the registration form (link above) and make a minimum £30 donation to help cover our costs.

This year, we are offering home delivery (UK only), with shipping costs included in the £30 donation, for orders placed by 12 June. Alternatively, you can choose to pick up your T‑shirt on the day of the event.

Please note that, due to production and shipping timelines, T‑shirts for on-the-day pick-up cannot be guaranteed for orders placed after 25 June.

Let’s run, walk, and raise hope together.
We can’t wait to see you there! 💪💜
